March: Lenten Daily Offerings
On February 25th, Ash Wednesday, we began the season of the Church Year known as LENT. Lent is a 40 day preparation, leading us to the celebration of our great feast of EASTER.
Three traditional practices that help us to prepare for Easter during the Lenten season are PRAYER (spending time with God), FASTING (giving up something in order to make more room for God in your life), and ALMSGIVING (service to those in need). Below you will find a link to a Word document that includes daily offerings for you and your family for the Lenten season that connect with these three practices.
Instructions:
Print off the Lenten Daily Offerings document above. Cut out the the cards along the dotted lines and place them in a container. Each day during Lent, choose a card for you and your family. The next day, this card goes back in the container (to be used again) and another card is picked. Suggestion: These cards fits in a 3.5" x 5" fridge magnet frame that you can get at the Dollar Store. It would be great to display your card of the day on the fridge in this way each day.
NOTE - No submission is required for this month's online activity.
