Finance & Administration Committee Membership
The role of a Finance and Administration Committee Member is one of many roles that make the life of a parish what it is. The committee member, in unity with other members and the Pastoral Team, seeks to discern about the financial and administrative aspects of parish life. Once again we are looking for help! We are currently seeking two parishioners to fill three year terms. Some of the skills we hope members would have are: persons rooted in the gospel; open to working for the best interest of the entire parish; an ability to work collaboratively; faithful to preparing for and attending all meetings (12 per year - 2 hours plus in length); familiarity with working within various policies and procedures; willingness to follow meeting format re: rules of order at a meeting; have some understanding of the temporal side of parish life which includes the financial aspects as well as the administrative aspects. Experience in the area of finances is helpful when engaging in this work. We are seeking to fill from our membership both the office of chair or secretary. Working on this committee is a great opportunity to understand issues of being a parish and another wonderful way of coming to know fellow parishioners.
