The Liturgy Committee for the Parish of St. Leonard met Monday, June 16, 2008. The usual order of business was discussed with an emphasis on the summer months. The summer Mass schedule will take effect the first weekend of July with only one change; the Sunday evening Mass will move to Saturday evening. Liturgy of the Hours, the ancient prayer of the Church will begin to be celebrated one evening a week in September. Our music coordinators have developed a schedule of leaders of song for our summer liturgies. Congregational singing is one way of enhancing our liturgies. We are planning to invite our youth to provide the ministries for one of our regularly scheduled liturgies. This work is ongoing and we hope to have more information after our summer break. A Summer Institute for Liturgical Music Workshop will be held Aug 17th to 20th in BrasD'Or. Registration forms are available from the pastoral centre. Our next scheduled meeting will be September 10, 2008. A safe and blessed summer everyone!
